Last week my husband and I received our beautiful new sideboard. I immediately started placing some décor on top and shuffling them around.

Although we are at the start of this decoration journey, one of the things that I have learned is how important is to only buy furniture and accessories that we absolutely love. It’s really rewarding to wait until you find something really special for your home, so that every time you look at it, it makes you feel happy.

These pics are the work-in-progress version of our living room; we are still waiting for the perfect coach to arrive, yes!, we already bought it to, so I pretend to post some more pics of our home soon. Have a nice week!

La semana pasada mi esposo y yo recibimos nuestra nueva cómoda, inmediatamente después de desempacarla empecé a colocar algunos accesorios en ella y a jugar con el estilo.

A pesar de nos queda un viaje largo en la decoración de nuestra casa, una de las cosas que hemos aprendido es lo importante de comprar muebles y accesorios que en realidad nos encanten. Es muy satisfactorio esperar hasta encontrar esa pieza especial para tu casa, así, cada vez que la vemos nos hace sentir felices.

Estas fotos son del trabajo en proceso de nuestra sala; todavía estamos esperando al sofá perfecto, ¡sí!, ya lo compramos pero aún no ha llegado, así que pretendo subir otra vez algunas fotos de nuestra casa pronto. ¡Bonita semana!

Hello everyone! Starting the weekend with more inspiration, same color palette from lasts posts but this time I wanted to share with you the work of a talented interior stylist from Stockholm, LottaAgaton. Since I’ve been reading some interior design magazines and blogs I found out about her and instantly felt in love with her style, bright and minimalist yet warm and comfortable feeling spaces.  Hope you like it, happy weekend!

Empezando el fin de semana con un poco más de inspiración, la misma paleta de colores que los posts anteriores pero esta vez comparto con ustedes el trabajo de una estilista de interiores de Estocolmo, Lotta Agaton. Me topé con su trabajo hace un tiempo en una de las revistas de interiores que leía y me enamoré de su estilo en cuanto lo vi. Espacios minimalistas e iluminados con un toque de calidez y comodidad. This is getting more real every single day, the serious wedding countdown already started, and I can’t believe that the big day is just around the corner. I’m so very excited and focused on the near future that sometimes I forget about the present; I need to enjoy every second before the wedding and realize that all this preparation time is just perfect at the moment. So, by now, opening wedding presents and looking for interior inspiration makes me really happy. Thanks for reading!

La cuenta regresiva en serio ya empezó, las cosas empiezan a parecer reales y no puedo creer que el gran día ya esté a la vuelta de la esquina. Estoy tan emocionada y enfocada en lo que viene a futuro (nueva casa, decoración y esta nueva etapa en nuestras vidas) que a veces me olvido de disfrutar el presente; pero caigo en cuenta que toda esta preparación es justo lo que necesitamos ahora. Todo en su momento, así que por ahora a seguir abriendo regalos y buscando inspiración. Les dejo algunas imágenes que me encantan siguiendo con todo esto de los interiores. Gracias por leer!

Hello! Here is some of my latest inspiration. As you may know, my boyfriend and I are renovating our new house, it has been a slow process, but now, the place looks totally different. I visualize every single space all the time and even if I am not an interior designer I can’t deny it’s kind of fun pretending to be one. We already have an idea of our color palette for the entire house, yei!

Well, all of this it’s fun for sure, but the “not that funny” part is that nothing is for free, and it’s not just about the time or dedication we put on it but also about learning to administrate our money and make the best of it along with the wedding plans and our honey moon. A recommendation for future brides is, listing priorities and budgets before anything else. Every single couple has their owns ideals and a dream wedding to plan, so, getting the balance between what we desire and what you can afford at the moment can be hard sometimes but totally worth it. 

Hola, aquí algo de mi última inspiración. Ya les había hablado antes de la remodelación de mi casa, y aunque va avanzando poco a poco, ahora se siente que todo ha cambiado por completo. Me emociona visualizar los diferentes espacios de nuestra nueva casa y aunque no soy diseñadora interior no puedo negar que es muy divertido pretender que lo soy.

Bueno, la parte real y no tan divertida de todo esto es que nada es gratis, y aparte de la dedicación y tiempo que le hemos invertido, también administrar nuestro dinero ha sido parte fundamental para que funcione de la mejor manera junto con la boda, la luna de miel, etc. Una recomendación para las futuras novias es listar prioridades y establecer presupuestos antes que nada. Cada pareja tiene sus propios ideales a futuro pero al mismo tiempo los planes de una boda soñada, aprender a  equilibrar el presupuesto entre lo que deseamos y lo que podemos cubrir en el momento es difícil  pero vale mucho la pena.
