I know it’s a little bit too early to start
my wedding countdown, but honestly, I’m counting down for a while now. I just
can’t help it! This is what I have been up to these days, not blogging too
much but spending almost all my time on our wedding plans. Designing the
invitations is certainly one of the most exciting projects until now and fortunately,
it hasn’t been that stressful (except for the invitation crisis from last post)
since we have been planning it for 6 months now. I’m sure regular outfit posts
are getting back soon but now I share with you the final result, I loved the laser cut detail and the simplicity of the invitation. Can’t wait! Thanks

He empezado la cuenta
regresiva un poco antes de lo planeado, pero sinceramente, no lo puedo evitar. Esto
es en lo que he dedicado mi tiempo últimamente, no tanto a mi blog pero mucho a
mi boda. Diseñar las invitaciones ha sido sin duda una de las tareas más
emocionantes y afortunadamente no ha sido estresante gracias al tiempo con anticipación
en que la planeación empezó. Estoy segura de que los post volverán a la
normalidad pronto pero por ahora les comparto un poco de los detalles de mi
boda, me encantó el detalle cortado con láser, no creen? La verdad, ¡muero por que sea el día! Gracias por el tiempo y sus lindos

Most of you already know I’m a blogger who recently got engaged, so, I have been trying (just trying) to keep my blog from turning into a wedding blog, but I have to admit that I can’t help it this time. I’m really excited about getting married and I’m going to talk about it from time to time, I promise not getting too cheesy or boring, hope that’s ok with you!
Como la mayoría de ustedes ya saben y los que no, soy una blogger recientemente comprometida y queda poco para mi boda, así que este tiempo y con toda la planeación he estado tratando de no convertir mi blog en un blog de boda, pero tengo que admitir que esta vez no lo pude evitar. Estoy tan emocionada por mi boda que hablare de ella unas cuentas veces antes de que suceda, prometo no ser tan cursi o aburrida.
To begin with, I am not really good at following traditions and with all the wedding planning I have found myself on taking some decisions about doing things the traditional way or not, so we have decided to make everything just the way we want, even though we are receiving a lot advices and points of view from everyone (future brides, you know what I'm talking about) One of those decisions was having bridesmaids or not, at first it looked for me a little bit cheesy (don’t know why) but on the other hand I found it kind of fun, so I decided having eight bridesmaids just for the fun of it and of course I wouldn’t mind a little help with all the wedding plans, so, so far so good, this is one of my first wedding projects: The Bridesmaid’s Gifts that I made for my ladies. With the help of some inspiration from the internet, I put together a little bag of goodies for them. I have a lot of fun preparing it, I did have to spend some hours cutting and pasting on this project but I ended up loving it and I’m sure my bridesmaid too.
My version of bridesmaid’s gifts included some textile samples for her dresses, my color palette, some inspirational images, 4 printed postcards explaining everything about the wedding, cute wedding stickers and a delicious cookie. Here is a little snippet of the gifts!
Para empezar, no soy muy buena siguiendo tradiciones y con la planeación de mi boda he tenido que tomar decisiones a cerca de hacer ciertas cosas de la manera tradicional o no, para no hacerlo muy largo, mi novio y yo decidimos hacer las cosas justo como las queremos, a pesar de recibir consejos y puntos de vista de todas partes y en todo momento (las novias que estén leyendo esto saben a qué me refiero). Una de estas decisiones fue tener damas de honor o no, al principio me pareció un tanto cursi (no sé porque) pero por otro lado me encantaba la idea por lo divertido que podría ser. Así que decidí tener ocho damas de honor solo para divertirnos aún más con la boda, bueno y claro que un poco de ayuda no me caería mal, así que hasta ahora ha funcionado. Este es uno de mis proyectos de boda: The Bridesmaid’s Gifts. Con un poco de ayuda de internet hice ocho bolsas con algunas tarjetas y otras cosas que les servirían. Me divertí mucho planeando y haciéndolas, a pesar de las horas dedicadas a cortar y pegar, al final resultó justo como lo quería y me encantó, supongo que a mis damas también.
Mi versión de estas bolsas incluyó algunas muestras de telas para sus vestidos, la paleta de colores de la boda, algunas imágenes, 4 tarjetas explicando algunos detalles, stickers y una galleta deliciosa. Aquí están algunas imágenes!
